NOTICE IS GIVEN, the Wallowa County Planning Commission will be conducting a hearing which will include a legislative agenda item during the Tuesday, October 38, 2025, meeting that begins at 7:00 p.m., in the Thorton Conference Room of the Wallowa County Courthouse.
This hearing will include:
FINDINGS: WC COMP PLAN GOAL 12 APPENDIX AMD#25-01 – An amendment to the County's comprehensive plan. The City of Wallowa requests Goal 12 Transportation of the Wallowa County Comprehensive Plan be amended by adopting a Refinement Plan as an Appendix to Goal 12 Transportation. The Planning Commission makes a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners renders the final decision in legislative matters.
APP#25-02 ANDERSON WOODS, LLC - HOSTETTER. This is an appeal regarding a decision by the Planning Director to deny LP#25-02 which was a request for Legal Unit of Land Verification submitted by D. Rahn Hostetter on behalf of Anderson Woods, LLC. The parcel in question is described as Township 03 South, Range 45 East, Section 24, and Tax Lot 8600 in the Timber Grazing (T/G) zone, consisting of approximately 274.23 acres.
These matters will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and all relevant WCLDO articles, and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Dept. Monday – Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department – 101 S River St. Room 106, Enterprise OR 97828 – by 3:00 pm on Monday, October 27, 2025. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing, which is open to the public. For persons with disabilities that wish to attend, please call at least 24 hours before the meeting so accommodations may be made.
