NOTICE IS GIVEN, the Wallowa County Planning Commission will be conducting a hearing which will include a legislative agenda item during the Tuesday, June 24, 2025, meeting that begins at 7:00 p.m., in the Thorton Conference Room of the Wallowa County Courthouse.
This hearing will include:
WC COMP PLAN GOAL 12 APPENDIX AMD#25-01 – An amendment to the County's comprehensive plan requires a minimum of two public meetings, the first of which is with the Planning Commission. The City of Wallowa requests Goal 12 Transportation of the Wallowa County Comprehensive Plan be amended by adopting a Refinement Plan as an Appendix to Goal 12 Transportation. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners where the second public meeting will be held. The Board of Commissioners renders the final decision in legislative matters. (Third Notice)
CUP#25-02 FLYNN - Submitted by David Flynn. The proposed Non-Conforming-Use Expansion Permit is a request for the placing of wall tents for overnight lodging for the applicant's guide business. The property in question is described as Township 05 North, Range 43E, Section 04, and Tax Lot 4200 in the Troy Residential/Commercial zone.
These matters will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and all relevant WCLDO articles, and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and draft staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Dept. Monday – Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department – 101 S River St. Room 106, Enterprise OR 97828 – by 3:00 pm on Monday June 23, 2025. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing, which is open to the public. For persons with disabilities that wish to attend, please call at least 24 hours before the meeting so accommodations may be made.
