Notice is herby given that the Town of Canyon City has called a measure election for November 3, 2026 General Election to submit to the City voters the question of: SHALL CANYON CITY AMEND ITS EXISTING CHARTER TO ALIGN WITH THE LEAGUE OF OREGON CITIES' MODEL CHARTER LANGUAGE. A ballot title for that measure was proposed by the City Council and filed with the City Elections official, Tami Kowing, of the Town of Canyon City with the ballot title caption of: AMEND THE CANYON CITY CHARTER TO ALIGN WITH MODEL CHARTER. Any voter dissatisfied with the ballot title may file a petition for review in the Grant County Circuit Court no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2026.
