Notice is hereby given that the City of Mt. Vernon will hold a public hearing on April 29, 2025 at 5:30PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 290 W Main Street, Mt. Vernon, Oregon.
The public hearing is to consider: AMD-2025-01: Text amendments to the Comprehensive Plan of 1999 and Planning Document 100
Oregon law and Article 10 of Mt. Vernon Planning Document 100 provide the procedures for legislative amendments. Testimony, arguments, and evidence must be directed toward the approval criteria or other criteria which the person believes apply to the proposal. Failure to raise an issue at the hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the hearing body an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes an appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) based on that issue. The Mt. Vernon Planning Document 100, Land Development Regulations, is available at www.cityofmtvernonor.com If you wish to provide written comments, please submit them to mtvernoncityof@gmail.com or to City Hall, 290 W Main Street by April 24, 2025 at 4PM.
A copy of the proposal, all documents and evidence relied upon to render the decision and applicable criteria is available for inspection at no cost in City Hall and on the City's website, www.cityofmtvernonor.com and can be provided at reasonable cost, if requested. A copy of the record will be available for inspection seven days prior to the hearing.
