HISTORIC LANDMARKS
APPLICATION
The City of La Grande Landmarks Commission will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Session on Thursday, March 12, 2026, which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the La Grande City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The Hearing is to consider a reduction in depth of alcove and replace entry door. The property is located at 1215 Washington Avenue, T3S, R38E, Section 05CC, Tax Lot 8000, La Grande, Union County, Oregon Applicant is Mike McQueen.
The applicable land use regulations are found in Chapter 109, Article V, Section 109-113 – 109-117 of the City of La Grande Code of Ordinances Subpart B Land Development Code. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearing precludes appeal of the Landmarks Commission's decision. A copy of the application and information related to the proposal are available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. A Staff Report will be available for review seven (7) days before the Landmarks Commission Hearing, and can also be supplied at a reasonable cost. All meetings of the La Grande Landmarks Commission are accessible to persons with disabilities. A request regarding accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made by the Friday previous to the meeting, by calling (541) 962-1307. The meeting will be available for viewing on You Tube live at City of La Grande Oregon - YouTube. Any person may submit written comments or questions in advance of the meeting. Written comments need to be received by 5:00 p.m. on date of the scheduled meeting, which will be read during the public comment section of the Public Hearing. Persons interested in providing virtual public comments need to contact City Staff not later than 5:00 pm the day prior to meeting to make arrangements to participate in the meeting. Public Comments, whether written or virtual should be emailed to mboquist@cityoflagrande.org and shall be limited to three minutes.
