Land Use Hearing
The City of Boardman will hold the following hearing of public interest to consider an amendment to the Boardman Development Code (BDC) to add shipping containers as a primary or accessory use. The Planning Commission public hearing will be held on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. and the City Council public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Both hearings will be at Boardman City Hall, 200 City Center Circle, Boardman, Oregon 97818 in the Council Chambers. Boardman Development Code Amendment, File Number 25-000299: City of Boardman, applicant is requesting an amendment to Chapter 2 of the Boardman Development Code (BDC) to establish standards for the use of shipping containers in the residential, commercial, and industrial use zones. This request will be reviewed under the criteria outlined in BDC Chapter 4.1.600 Type IV Procedures. This is the first of at least two public hearings with the final hearing before the City Council.
Opportunity to voice support or opposition to the above request or to ask questions will be provided. Failure to raise an issue in person or by letter or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use of Appeals on those issues.
