The Baker City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the Commissioner's Chambers at the Baker County Courthouse, 1995 3rd Street, Baker City, Oregon, to discuss:
° VAC-25-080: A request to vacate a 20' portion of Baker Street between 16th and 17th Streets. The street fronts Tax Lots 2500, 3500, 3600 and 4900 of Map #09s40e17cb in the R-MD Zone. Applicable criteria are listed in BCDC Section 4.3.200, City Municipal Code Section 51 & ORS 271. Contact Madison Tomac with questions at 541-523-8219.
The public is invited to attend this public hearing and to submit oral or written testimony. Information for the hearing will be available at: http://bakercity.com/2293/Meeting-Materials-Webcasts. Testimony and relevant evidence must be based on the applicable review criteria and submitted to the Planning Department by 4:00 p.m. on the hearing date or in person during the hearing. Failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to allow the decision maker to respond to the issue, precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) based on that issue. Copies of the hearing materials will be available for inspection on or before July 9, 2025, at the Baker County Courthouse, 1995 3rd Street, Baker City, OR. All materials can be viewed at no cost or provided at a reasonable cost; digital versions can be e-mailed for free.
