The City of Prairie City is accepting applications for a part-time City Clerk / Planning Secretary position. This position performs a variety of clerical duties, including but not limited to accounts receivable, records management, utility billing, and administrative duties under the direction of the City Recorder. The position also provides planning and zoning duties and serves as backup to the City Recorder as needed.
Applicants should have knowledge and experience with office procedures and computer programs including word processing, excel, spreadsheets, and billing or accounting systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the public are required.
This position requires a high level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and public service.
